:issue: i love the mail

It arrived! There's just something so wonderful about seeing your work in print! Feels unreal, like someone else took the shots... Or am I the only one that feels that way? A N Y W A Y

Last year, I did some wonderful photos for the YMCA's Annual Report! You may have noticed those images in my portfolio.

Their Annual Report had the most wonderful theme... "All Kinds of Heroes Love Their Y". Featured were various people who were heroes in their own way. There was a Virginia Tech student who was in an unfortunate automobile accident. He tried tons of hospitals, was dropped by his insurance, etc. and found the YMCA where the staff helped him recover tremendously. He was so easy going and fun to photograph. I decided to photograph him on a steep hill laying below him camera pointing up to appear as though he was on top of the world! In addition, I had the pleasure of photographing the Mayor of Alexandria, VA who is an active member of the Y, a teacher & mother of 4 who lost 200 lbs attending the Y, a few adorable kids & other marvelous people as well.
