:issue: i love the mail

It arrived! There's just something so wonderful about seeing your work in print! Feels unreal, like someone else took the shots... Or am I the only one that feels that way? A N Y W A Y

Last year, I did some wonderful photos for the YMCA's Annual Report! You may have noticed those images in my portfolio.

Their Annual Report had the most wonderful theme... "All Kinds of Heroes Love Their Y". Featured were various people who were heroes in their own way. There was a Virginia Tech student who was in an unfortunate automobile accident. He tried tons of hospitals, was dropped by his insurance, etc. and found the YMCA where the staff helped him recover tremendously. He was so easy going and fun to photograph. I decided to photograph him on a steep hill laying below him camera pointing up to appear as though he was on top of the world! In addition, I had the pleasure of photographing the Mayor of Alexandria, VA who is an active member of the Y, a teacher & mother of 4 who lost 200 lbs attending the Y, a few adorable kids & other marvelous people as well. See the Annual Report below:

*Gotta run, my "little mama" is calling for me~ Isn't she only 4 months? Why does it seem like she has a MAJOR attitude!

:issue: they're amazing

Today I am typing about how amazed I am by my son (Boopity)! He is only 3 and is on the level of a 5 or 6 year old... seriously... He was putting full sentences together a few days after his 2nd birthday. And I'm not talking about "mama gotta pot pot" type of sentences, I'm talking about "mommy, can you take me to the potty please, I have to use it." type of sentences.

Anyway, the reason for this post is the image below. He just sat down & started drawing a girl... We've never shown him how to "draw" ... I guess he taught himself... Maybe he'll be an "artist" like me...
*I did help him out with the hair.

Do NOT adjust your screen or reach for your glasses... What you are seeing is not an illusion! This is not Demi Moore, but she's close enough! This is Lindsey, a model who could pass for Demi Moore's daughter OR better yet pad her pockets by getting hired to impersonate Demi Moore! She is such a sweet model & I am sure she hears this all the time :) Right Lindsey??Just thought I'd share :)
