issue :work of heart:

Hi there! I know, I've been a little MIA. I've been working SUPER hard on a project that I am SO proud of!

I put everything into this project & so did the crew! I can not wait to share (which will be in a few days)

Here is a photo of me "modeling" to test the lighting :) This is just a piece of the set we put together.

issue :i {heart} theatre

It's something like my first love. The stage, the set, the round of applause, the lights, the experience.... sigh. Theatre is something that I was involved in at a young age & even received a small scholarship for dramatic arts. Somehow along the way.... I gave it up.... but it still lives in my heart. If I had to choose again, I would make the same choice... PHOTOGRAPHY... but, I can't deny my first love...



I realize that I am so much happier when I put "theatre" into my images which is why I've been enjoying myself so much lately with my personal projects. Right now I am working on an AWESOME story for submission to a photo contest... one that if I win will open soooo many doors for me... So, I am putting everything into this... We're working on a set, story and a bunch of DRAMA!




That actually wasn't my point for this entry. I was listening to one of my FAVORITE songs "Return to Innocence" By Enigma and it reminded me of a production I was the main character in 97. Gave me all kinds of googly feelings... If you don't know this song, here are the lyrics:

A year ago, we voted for CHANGE... My family members, friends & I stood in the pouring rain to vote for our president BARACK OBAMA. We came together and watched his victory with our children as tears of joy & relief rolled down our cheeks.... This is how I remember it:
